Design and engineer your own skateboard! In this workshop, our instructors guide you through the process and secrets of deck lay-up, skateboard design and shaping, plus the careful placement and installation of hardware. You choose from three sizes, to design and build your very own custom Mini Cruiser, Skateboard or Longboard. Attention Educators: there are many STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills to be learned in this hands on class, complete with a power point presentation. High school approved curriculum is available.
Our lead teacher for the class will be Skateboard Builder and Teacher Scott Dillion of Terre Haute, Indiana. Scott is a 21-year-old teacher who oversees manufacturing, construction, transportation, communications, and an adult woodworking class. He teaches at West Vigo Middle School in Terre Haute Indiana.
