Jane Yorio, Co-Founder of Compound and now Co-Head of Real Estate at Republic, will tell her entrepreneurial journey in fintech, and explain how Compound, now a part of Republic, is changing investing as we know it. Financial technology (Fintech) is used to describe new tech that seeks to improve and automate the delivery and use of financial services. Compound was recognized by Inc. as one of 50 World-Changing Startups to Watch in 2019.  It was acquired by Republic on June 15 this year. Compound, a real estate technology company, was backed by some of the biggest venture capital firms in the world. Compound is
 a real estate investment platform that lets everybody invest in real estate around the world in small dollar increments.

Janine has been featured and quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, New York Times, Crain’s New York, and The Atlantic and has served as a judge for the Harvard Real Estate Venture conference. She was previously head of real estate at Standard Hotels and was portfolio manager at NorthStar Capital. She has managed over $2 billion in structured real estate investments and began her career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers Inc. She is a graduate of Yale University.
